The Woodland Trust is the UK's leading woodland conservation charity. We were commissioned to work on the Lottery funded, award winning Nature Detectives website that helps school children learn about wildlife. The site allows them to investigate where they live with some colourful spotter sheets, start a nature diary, do Springwatch and Autumnwatch and help real scientists research climate change.
Integralvision have developed a new learning tool for the website that allows users to create and save PDF worksheets using a Flash-based tool. We are currently waiting for sign off on our work before launching it.
The Pennywell Farm website was voted the Tourism Website of the Year at the Southwest Tourism Excellence Awards. It is a lively mix of animation, interaction and sound, featuring Spot, the Farm Dog as he leads you around.
The site allows visitors to buy and print out tickets online, explore the farm using an Interactive map and view the latest pictures to be added to the scrolling Photo Gallery. As well as a custom shopping cart to help them sell and manage tickets, the site includes a custom Content Management System (CMS) so Pennywell can add new photos and the latest news to the site at any time. As soon as a new animal is born on the farm, they will be able to take a photo and within minutes, it can be up on the website.
The Pennywell web site has been listed as the New Media Age Site of the Week and was runner up for the Southwest Media Innovation Awards. Most recently, the Pennywell Farm website was voted the Tourism Website of the Year at the Southwest Tourism Excellence Awards.
The Dartmoor Virtual Tours website is an opportunity to explore aspects of Dartmoor's cultural heritage with the combination of Flash technology, 360 panoramic photographs, the spoken word and archive photographs. The first property added was Higher Uppacott, a Grade I listed medieval longhouse which originally accommodated both people and animals. This also covers the deserted medieval settlement at Hound Tor. The next phases of the development of the site centered on Higher Uppacott, Princetown, Postbridge and Haytor. Most recently we have completely remodeled the whole site with a new look and 3D animation on the maps.
The final phase of the project will start in February 2008 with the addition of a Virtual tour focused on Meldon near Okehampton.
