17/08/06 Launch of new Pennywell Farm site
The new Pennywell Farm Centre website was officially launched on the 17th August to great fanfare. Integralvision was particulalry keen to win this project as this multi award winning Farm Activity Park... the biggest in the South West, is just down the road from our offices.
Valerie Bickford-Beers of Pennywell says that the new website will make a huge difference to the business and will help her enormously in administering the site. “I’m very excited about this new site. It has opened up a wealth of new opportunities for us. Our Christmas Nativity Plays are so popular, people start booking in the summer and it normally involves a huge paper exercise. The site will allow me to sell and manage tickets through an online shop. As soon as a new animal is born on the farm, I will be able very easily to take a photo and within minutes, it can be up on the website. We have a huge following for our newsletters and these too will be much more fun and inter-active”.
Lead designer on the Pennywell project, Simon Farrow said: "Being asked to do the Pennywell Farm website presented us with a real opportunity to do something fresh, bright and fun. Pennywell Farm is just a couple of miles down the road from our offices in Ashburton and we really enjoy creating solutions for and developing business relationships with local companies. It is a fact that a lot of Southwest businesses fail to put as much weight on online marketing as traditional marketing. Pennywell is an exception to this. They understand the importance of having a website which reflects their business model. I think that right from the word go, Pennywell were impressed with our enthusiasm and ideas for the project. This gave them the trust in us to produce their new site with minimal directions from themselves. Working with this level of freedom is quite unusual for a tourism site and has helped produce something really special."
01/07/06 Two new staff join Integralvision
Two new staff join Integralvision As part of our continuous growth we have taken on two new programmers. Both Dan and Marc came out of the Plymouth University Media Lab Arts course that has been described as "a crash between two cars: one carrying internationally recognised computer scientists, the other with artists, musicians, theorists and designer". Dan restores old cars for a hobby. Marc does not drive.
01/07/06 Broadband4Devon grant awarded to Pennywell Farm
One of the last available Broadband4Devon grants has been awarded to Pennywell Farm & Wildlife Centre at Buckfastleigh. Broadband4Devon has awarded a substantial subsidy to Pennywell to assist with the set up of their new website which aims to help the award-winning tourist attraction as part of their marketing strategy to encourage more visitors.
The Broadband4Devon project in Objective 2 area is nearing its end, as there is no more funding available to give out in the form of subsidies to businesses. The project always had a finite life span of three years and this is up at the end of September this year. The project in the non-Objective 2 area of Devon is continuing until the end of March 2007.
